Darktide VFX showcase

Some of the effects I worked on for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

This was an incredible project and I feel immense pride to have been a part of its crazy journey.

My primary responsibility was working on effects used in combat and enemies for the game (Blood, guns, explosions etc) but during the project I ended up working on basically everything VFX related from cinematics to environments. In the end, I worked on around 70% of all the effects used in the game.

This was very much a team effort and I couldn't had done it without the tireless support of my wonderful co-workers at Fatshark. In particular, I would like to thank Staffan Ahlström, who always pushed me to improve and was a fantastic source of advice whenever I hit a wall.

I created the majority of textures and assets used by the VFX team, including every flipbook used in the final game.
